A Day at the Experimentory: DFG

April 13, 2017

With all our classes, projects, field trips, crafts, games, birthday parties, studio time, shared meals, co-curriculars... It would be easy to overfill each day at the Experimentory with scheduled activities. But part of Maximizing your Character is striking a healthy life-work balance -- and so we take relaxing very seriously.

We call our daily free periods "DFG" after three of the places you might spend it -- the Dorm, the Fields, or in the campus Greer Cafe. (The Library and Gym are also often available, but "DFGLG" doesn't quite roll off the tongue the same way, does it?) So if you want to finish that book you're hungrily devouring, play an instrument you brought from home, chill with some friends over an ice cream, or take a quick nap, DFG is the time to do it.

Watch the video below to learn more; visit our Community page to learn how DFG fits into the greater whole of the Experimentory.

Our "A Day at the Experimentory" video and blog series highlights many different parts of our program and how they all fit together. Are you curious how you might fit in, too? Let's talk and see if the Experimentory is right for your summer!
