Personification belongs in any creative communicator's tool kit. It's a good thought excercise: how can you strip an abstract concept or complicated reality down to its essence and then transfer that essence into a character? If you then drop those characters into stories, the result can be a load of fun -- and also give insights into life. We learn about strength from Aesop's lions, evil from Sauron's failure, faith from Pilgrim's Progress, and politics from a Doonsbury cartoon.
We asked Experimentory students, teachers, and staff to consider: If the Experimentory were a person, what would they be like? The result is some jokey fun -- but even that gives you a good picture of what a summer at the Experimentory could be like.
